BBNN: The Baugu Baugu Department of Domestic Tourism (BBDDT) has set a date for the launch of its new Baugu Baugu Sunset Sweepstakes lottery.

Beginning Friday, Aug. 1, islanders and visiting tourists will be able to buy tickets predicting which sunset of each week will be voted by Baugu Bauguans as the most gorgeous. On each ticket, the buyer chooses a day of the week and the average time that the majority of island respondents report the sun as disappearing completely below the horizon.  In case of ties, the pot will be split. The winner(s) will also receive a pig that is roasted over a public bonfire on Sunset Beach during the BBDDT's weekly craft beer tasting and concert, though the real pig can be substituted with tofu a pig, a tofu chicken, or an extra-large tofu pizza with tofu pepperoni, depending on religious, dietary, and gastrointestinal preferences.

Tickets will cost $1 with a limit of ten tickets per person and be available at stores, coffee houses, bars, and beach kiosks across Baugu Baugu. To sweeten the deal, each week the BBDDT will double the lottery pot, increasing the payout by 100 percent, with winners receiving 96 percent and the Royal Fund for Feral Cats receiving 4 percent.

"The BBDDT is devoted to enriching the lifestyle of the general public and stop calling!" BBDDT Spokesman Rick Richardson told Baugu Baugu News Network via cellphone, though the conversation cut out when Richardson wiped out—at the time he was waterskiing in Magnus Sinus Lagoon.

"Richardson? Are you kidding? That guy uses ChatGPT to write his press releases, so you can ignore his drivel," responded Patricia Samson, proprietor of Sunset Beach Guitar Parlor and Boba Tea House. "But for once the BBDDT has an initiative that's going be a boost for business. Up and down Sunset Beach, stores, restaurants, and bars are being bombarded with questions about the lottery and who will be selling tickets. It's going to be hot."

Check back for updates on this story. One source alleges Samson may have had a romantic relationship with Richardson when the two were in middle school in Lovers' Cove.
